PT Pelayaran Taruna Kusan Jaya (Taruna) was established to capitalize on heavy freight sea transportation demand in Indonesia.
As the largest archipelago country in the world, Indonesia consists of more than 17,000 islands spread over an area of almost 10 million square kilometers. These islands and surrounding waters contain valuable minerals and natural resources that have become the backbone of Indonesia's economy.
Utilizing Landing Crafts (LCT), Taruna provides services to various companies — mostly in the mining and oil & gas industry — operating across Indonesia. The LCT has proven capable of delivering heavy cargo, such as excavators, cranes, and dump trucks, to remote islands with limited infrastructure. This vessel is also capable to safely transport oversized cargo such as oil pipes, steel frames, and various machineries.
Incorporated in 1999, Taruna has established itself as a reliable business partner in Indonesia's heavy freight shipping industry. The company is committed to operating with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) as the primary consideration, believing that prioritizing HSE enables Taruna to provide the safest, timely, and most cost productive services to its customers.
